Agreement to Terms

By using our services, accessing our website, or purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.

Services

Step by Step Photography provides professional photography services including but not limited to:

• School portraits and class photos
• Sports team and individual athlete photography
• Dance recital and performance photography
• Event photography services
• Photo packages and individual print sales
• Digital photo access and downloads

Photo Access and Codes

Access codes provided for viewing and downloading photos are valid for 3 months from the shoot date. After this period, photos may be archived and subject to retrieval fees. Access codes are confidential and should not be shared publicly.

Orders and Payment

• All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated
• Payment is required at the time of order placement
• We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout
• Orders placed after the deadline may incur a custom shipping fee of $20
• Bulk orders may have special pricing arrangements through schools or event organizers

Delivery

Standard delivery timelines:

• School deliveries: Portraits delivered to school within 3 weeks of Picture Day
• Direct shipping: Processing time varies, typically 2-3 weeks
• Late orders and reorders may be shipped directly to your home address
• We are not responsible for delivery delays caused by third-party carriers

Retakes and Refunds

Retake days are scheduled by schools, typically 1-2 weeks after the original photo day. Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:

• Significant printing errors or defects in the photograph
• Non-delivery of ordered products (after investigation)
• Refund requests must be made within 30 days of receiving the product
• Personal preference or dissatisfaction with poses is not grounds for refund but may be addressed through retakes

Photo Retouching

All photographs undergo basic inspection, color correction, and minor blemish retouching at no additional charge. Extensive retouching requests may incur additional fees and must be requested within 14 days of photo availability.

Copyright and Usage Rights

All photographs taken by Step by Step Photography remain our property. By purchasing our products or services:

• You receive a personal use license for purchased photographs
• You may print purchased digital images for personal use
• Commercial use, reproduction, or resale is prohibited without written permission
• We reserve the right to use photographs for promotional purposes unless you opt-out
• You may request removal of photos from our promotional materials at any time

Consent and Model Release

By participating in our photography sessions (directly or through school/event registration), you grant us permission to photograph and use the images as described. Parents and guardians provide consent on behalf of minors.

Cancellations

For pre-scheduled private sessions, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. School and event photography dates are set by the organizing institution and cannot be cancelled individually.

Limitation of Liability

Step by Step Photography shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or products. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service or product in question.

Technical Issues

We strive to maintain website and photo access system availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not responsible for issues caused by internet connectivity, browser compatibility, or third-party platform outages.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
